This model is designed with a smaller table size and a more compact footprint for the company whose budget or floor space may be limited, but their production needs and expectations are not. In fact, this model shares so many components, features, and design characteristics with our larger premium models, that there was debate among our engineers, whether it should just be a smaller model within an existing series. On this No Compromises machine, the only thing you will find trimmed away... is the price.
The Mate Series is proudly designed and built, from start to finish, in Troutman, North Carolina, USA, by a Privately Owned American Company. Just saying “Made in the USA” is not enough. Some other companies believe that just final assembly of their Chinese made or European made frames and sub-assemblies in an empty warehouse, or in the corner of some building here in the USA, qualify their machine as “American Built.” Those companies may even be owned by Asian or European conglomerates, but still eagerly slap a “made in USA” sticker on their products. The Mate Series starts with a steel frame that is designed, created, heat treated, fabricated, and precision machined right here in the USA. There are inevitably some components on our machine that must be sourced from the top vendors outside the US, in order to produce a product with the highest quality, utmost reliability and maximum performance. But, all assembly and production, of every CR Onsrud machine, happens from start to finish at our state of the art manufacturing facility in the USA.
